This year is going to be such an exciting year for us.. We really want to try and get some clothes in to shops (online/street) but also produce a collection including shirts, hats and tshirts..

Thanks for all the support and feedback in 2009! We have had a really exciting year and we are even more excited about 2010..There are so many potential opportunities for us in the New Year and we are waiting on the right ones and we want to run through the open doors..

I can do all things…..

New teees and jumper

Ok so you’ve seen the page, the website, some of the pictures and what not.. and you might be like, who are we? Well I will write an end of year report/blog some point soon so that will be answered then..

But for now..
We have been working super busy the past few months since summer, getting designs printed and tested etc.. And yet again we have a new tee and JUMPER …

Now only 5 Jumpers have been printed so far, but we are so happy with the results that we will print more in early 2010.. It’s in burgundy and white as you can clearly see

The tee is lime green on navy, and again looks pukka.. They are both printed on the highest quality clothing by continental clothing..

So grab one before the end of the year.. or it might be a little wait…

The lowdown:
-Doxa tees “should” I’m hoping be here in the next few days
-Just have to embroider the arm and stitch in the label
-tees are purple with yellow/gold writing yummm!!
- then we can get hoodies/ hats/ more tee designs
-it’s exciting
-God is good

I guess on humanly terms, it’s kinda frustrating that we don’t perhaps have the initial funds to get fully flowing, but God has chosen it to be this way, so why grumble hey.. We are having so much fun and we have only just begun!!!..

Oh yeah and It was my birthday the other day.. I’m 20 :S

I just love CHURCH :)

Home from Church today, and absolutely buzzing .. I look forward to it every week, and it never disappoints; despite often missing the core of our young crew..
Today was just myself and Simon. James and Phil are in Borneo, along with Abi. My sister is on holiday and Tom and Bryony are studying in the States. Bolty is at his tennis academy and Anna was away..
But despite the absentees, there is no lacking in social fellowship. I guess we should never put so much on going to church because ‘so and so is there’.. and get down because they are away etc, because we are there to be built up, and not for a solid social..

It is wonderful though to have such a close knit group of people around you, from the youngest to the oldest, and also a group that people aren’t afraid or feel cut out of because we are close. It’s an amazing thing to see and be apart of.

My church (Bradfield and Rougham) is at the start of fantastic things. Kenny’s ministry is amazing and I don’t say that lightly. The ability to pick out what he does from the word, is truly a God given gift. Listen to some podcasts HERE Couple this with our “first” highly planned long distance group mission trip to Borneo, which has been widely publicised. We are at the beginning of exciting times and I am so glad to be a part of this church.. Obviously I don’t want to get so reliant on getting a hit of this church, because God could just rip me up and plant me elsewhere with no-one around me I know, but I just am thankful that at the moment, I’m around some great people at this really important stage of my life..

I’ve been looking at a lot of photography blogs recently, and am loving black and white films..
I have some friends that if the word genius is touted, would probably be classed as an understatement. I love Alex Howard’s work, he’s just got back from NY so i’m looking forward to seeing what he has.. He blogs on outhereoverthere.. along with Simon Nunn, and Sophie Curtis…

It’s becoming a monthly thing :)

Ok so yet again I get round to doing a blog one month on from the last.. I am sorry..

I do have my excuses
-Holidays
-Working
-Erm :S haha..

Well anyway.. I have been away in France and also to see family up in Southport, where is was my Grandparents Golden Wedding Anniversary and my cousin was leaving to study in the states..
Ben has been away for a month working at the festivals with St Andrew’s bookshop, so there has been no printing going on..
There has however been the launch of our online store:Doxa Clothing Big Cartel
Not many of the promo tees left!!

At the moment I am working on a few new designs, so that we can have a small winter collection of tees and jumpers. And i’m liking vintagey style clothes.. single colour prints and simple designs.. Not just because it’s the fashion atm, but also so that people can clearly see and image or the message we are trying to get across..

We are also looking for bands to link up with and things like that.. just to get the name out there and people to see it and ask questions.. It’s so exciting .. If you guys have any ideas or have seen tees you like, then email them over as inspiration to josh@doxaclothing.co.uk

Doxa Promo Launch

Over a month since the last post, and wow so much since then..
ups and downs, as usual. It’s something we come to expect now..

Well anyway. Today, and the so called promo launch.
Mike Long gave us a call and said that he and Lizi (Wife)
are doing an event to raise awareness for Cherish Uganda (Orphanage)
and would we like to ‘tag on it’..

Of course we accepted, and got to work on preparing the tees and
what we would say..
We didn’t send out a mass invite because the coffee bar is only small
but we had plenty turn up and it was a truly amazing night..
Really felt blessed by God and that people appreciate what we have done..

Ironically (well not really) it is almost exactly one year ago to the day!
That myself and Ben were outside Josh McKenna’s house, talking about
how we would love to worship and serve God by creating tees with a
meaning.

The name was of course initially RYST (RYan/STannard) and then changed
to DOXA (Glory and Splendor in Greek).. it quickly moved on to us getting
Screen Printing equipment and test tees, and just allowing God to teach us
along the way..

Of course the fact that we had relatively no idea what we are doing often
halted us and messed things up, but we learnt from and are still LEARNING
from our mistakes, we are still very much at the beginning of this venture
and we are taken one step at a time and hope to be out there on the big scale
soon ….
